I'm a DOD employee and I'm concern about the new system. I have been a civil cervice employee going on 25 year's. Me and my co-worker's work hard and are committed at our job. I understand the NSPS will end the annual GS pay raise. There are No Guaranteed Raises for good or high performers. I just don't understand why. If I work hard and get a good or high performance rating, why am I not guaranteed a raise? I also understand that the NSPS will no longer count your year's of quality service, commitment and loyalty should a Reduction-In-Force (RIF) happen. What happen to job security? Plus, I did not enlist in the military to be assigned anywhere in the world, even into a war zone , with little or no notice. I am pround to serve my country, but I am also responsibe for caring for my family and personal obligations at home. The requlations are an attack on worker's basic rights. We need to have work rules that preserve fairness, serve the American people , and respect the rights of Defense Department workers.
