Let's see. Where do I begin praising the NSPS in 3000 or less letters. Oh, that's right. There's absolutely Nothing and I mean nothing to praise about this piece of so called legislation that our so called intelligent People in D.C. came up with. It's hard to believe that we the American people allow incompetence like this To exist in our government and receive the benefits that they get. The worst part is that they expect the American public to believe that they want what is best for the country, and the majority of the people are Allowing themselves to be lead like sheep to the slaughter. ABSOLUTELY UNBELIEVABLE!!! In my 60 Years of living on this planet, I have never been so afraid for my country and my children's and grandchildren's Future as I am now. Granted, we probably do have a lot to fear from terrorists, but that doesn't give the Administration the right to take our rights away in the name of protecting us. The government is spending Millions if not hundreds of millions of dollars enacting a bill that will do nothing but cause mass confusion for Years to come. It is nothing more than mass paranoia from 9/11 and if the truth were told, our current administration Has no idea what to do to protect us from the so-called threat. All their doing is saying to the public, "look At this new bill we've just enacted to help fight terrorism" "Aren't we just doing a great job????" One of Mr. Rumsfelds cronies, I believe his name was David Chu or something like that said that he needed More flexibility to use us in case of national emergencies without having to "negotiate with many unions" Before he acted. How dare he and Mr. Rumsfeld say anything like this. Look at the films of 9/11 and notice Who were some of the first responders to the tragic scenes. Mostly Union people and they didn't ask to negotiate first. I feel I speak for each and every one of my union brothers and sisters in the federal and private sectors when I say "yes, we're Union and proud of it, but we're Americans first and how dare anyone question our loyalty to this country in time of need." This bill is nothing more than pure "Union Busting" by the administration in office. Our service men and women are fighting in Afghanistan and Iraq with outdated equipment, unarmored vehicles, and not even getting reimbursed when they spend their own money to protect themselves, and yet we're spending millions on this piece of junk called legislation. Where are our priorities? Oh I forgot, Mr. Rumsfeld has his dictatorship and Mr. Bush has the capability to stick his chest out and act like the big bad Texan he is. "I removed Mr. Saddam from office." Sixteen hundred plus coalition lives lost defeating a little ol' dictator In Iraq (not counting the thousands of innocent Iraqi citizens) and we still don't have a "plan to win the peace." But thank goodness those civil servants who have served their country well for many years with the present laws, Will now have to "kiss butt" to retain their jobs and get pay raises. This NSPS system does have a place in every government office, "it's called the circular file amongst many other names, And one other place that I'll leave to your imagination. This bill needs to be retracted immediately before it completely Destroys civil service and we all go contractor. Then again, maybe that's the plan!!!!! And one other thing, before you think I'm Democrat. I'm not. I've voted Republican in the past, and take pride in Voting for the man or woman who I think will do the best job. In the case of the last election, "none of the above, Might have been a real choice.
