Yes, I would like to comment that I am against the National Security Personnel System (NSPS). My reason, simple, it would be "UNFAIR" for alot of DOD personnel. Currently, we have technicians that do "special favors" for managers and supervisors after duty hours and get that "extra reward". We have managers and supervisors that do not do a fair appraisal or evaluation on its employees now and I have been in the system as a technician for over fifteen years and have been a traditional guardsman for almost eighteen years. It would be terribly unfair for supervisors or managers to select a person (s) out of the fold for promotion, monetary gifts, etc...because they helped them landscape there house or as the old saying goes,"your just not in the right cliche", or "your not going to lunch with the right people". In closing, and my remedy! Keep the current appraisal and evaluation system we have now. Management should hold their supervisors feet to the fire and make them do there job right on evaluating there personnel fairly and timely on a regular basis. Also, we need to keep the technician workforce seperate from the traditional guardsman workforce.
