Why do we even bother to respond. I have spent most of the day reading negative responses To the National Security Personnel System. Do we really think, even for a minute that our So called leaders in D.C. give a royal ---- what we think. Since day one when the bill was First attached to the DOD appropriations bill, the unions have been screaming along with A lot of Senators and Congressmen that this bill was junk. But it was pushed through via The means of dirty tactics and even though the DOD promised to talk to and listen to Our representatives from the Unions all they did was sit and make believe. Who knows what Was going through their minds during these so called consultation periods. It sure wasn't What the unions were saying. This bill is nothing but stupidity at its best. And to think, we give our leaders quite a pay check To think of stuff like this. Shame on us!!!!!!! This current administration is using 9/11 as an Excuse to enact exactly what they want. It's not to fight terrorism because this bill will do Nothing but destroy civil service and turn the work over to their rich contractor buddies. Everything is in place right now, to give the hard worker an extra pay raise, to hire in the People we really need, and to fire the slackers, but our leadership from the top down, doesn't Have the intelligence to enact what is already on the books. How can we expect them to do Anything different with this bill. Mr. Rumsfeld says he wants to be able to use the Military To fight terrorism and give the work that they are doing to the civil servants. Bull!!! We fought tooth and nail to prevent the government from taking some of our work and Assigning the military to it. But they called it "Quality of life for the Military Member." It's a shore duty billet. Their passing out FAQ's and trying to explain misunderstandings That people have about this bill and lying through their teeth to try to prove their points. If given the chance the unions could tear this bill to pieces but the government won't listen. "How dare we the working man, know more than us. THE LEADERS!!!!!" This bill needs To be rescinded immediately and the present system left in place with a few changes made To it. It's costing us billions of dollars to enact this worthless piece of crap, and will continue To do so into the far future, while our sons, daughters, fathers, and mothers are risking their Lives on a daily basis without adequate protection in a country that never needed to be invaded. And our politicians are saying we can't afford to outfit them correctly. What's wrong with the picture.
