My comments are regarding Pay Banding. A reason I have read for introducing Pay Banding was because the present system does not work. So instead of fixing the present system a totally new system is being introduced that will have its own parts that do not work. And then ten years or so down the line another new system will be introduced to replace the Pay Banding system because "the present system" does not work. Why not fix the current system? No system is perfect no matter how good the intent or how hard we try. A concern of mine about Pay Banding is the way bonuses will be handled. First of all the way I understand it all the supervisors come to the bonus pot of money. The most pushy and aggressive supervisors will be the ones that get the most. Also if you have a supervisor who has a personality conflict with you, you are out of luck. PLEASE reconsider this. I dread Pay Banding being implemented!!! Thanks!
