Right now I am a GS-0301-13/5 This refers to my pay plan, my series and my pay level (grade and step). This is how we in the govenment rank ourselves. This ranking goes on numerious forms and documents. How will we be ranked in this new system? How do I tell someone or put on a form that I'm in pay band $80,000 to $100,000 for example. I work for the Department of the Army. The Army is familar with Rank. As a civilian army personnel understand if I tell them I am a GS-13. In other words I have some sort of rank to Army personnel so do all Army employees in the grades GS-1 thru GS-15. What will we have under this new system?
