I agree that the current pay system is outdated with the current job market. The pay for your job series should match the local job market as far as pay salary is concerned. With the pay made closer to the local job market, you will keep better people and not lose them to the civilian market as compared to the dod civilian job market. Why stay in the dod civilian market when you can get a job locally in the civilian sector for more than double your current wages paid by the Government. I hope this will bring the pay more in line with the former Federal Employees Pay Comparability Act of 1990 that never seemed to get off the ground.
