This is a program designed to allow the good old boys to take care of each other. If you spend your time smoozing with the mangagement instead of getting the job done you will be rewarded. The old system guranteed you did not have to kiss up to get your raises. You could do your job without kissing up and the job was the priority not making sure your boss was your buddy.
