As a new GS employee I support the goals of NSPS. I for one, support pay for performance and not pay for longevity. Having read many of the comments it seems that many people are going on what the critics and uninformed have said about NSPS and not what the facts are. Have people even read the Federal Register before commenting? The only ones that have to fear are those that perform at a below average level of performance and do not develop themselves to accept additional responsibilities. The only ones that have to fear NSPS are the exact ones that should not be working in the Federal Government. This is not a jobs program, no one should be guaranteed a job just because it is a Federal job. Just imagine actually having to justify your existence based upon your performance. What a concept. Implement it today.
