ALCON, I would like to state that I feel the system doesn't need to be changed, rather I feel that the system needs to be implemented as designed. Including all means of reward and recognition as well as disciplinary measures when needed. I think the new system will just be a platform for a popularity contest with management. I am concerned that in a system of reward based on accomplishment, there will be an uneven base of opportunity for accomplishment. Some members of the LAP community serve a very small customer pool while others may have contact with 3 Div's and a Corp element. I can work within either system. I don't have a problem with being rewarded for performance but, I have noticed in such an atmosphere there is a tendency to not share information in order to - have an edge on the competition-. I feel this system of reward-per-performance will certainly generate some of this attitude. In our line of work this would be a detriment not only to ourselves but also to the people that fight for our freedom and the advancement of Democracy through out the world .
