The employee still does have the right refute an injustice against him if everything is left up to the supervisor that means you have to kiss up to the supervisor in order to get a promotion. We know how much advantage a supervisor can take over a willing employee who wants to advance. A person that has been with the government over 30 years not only need to keep their jobs with the current administration cutting everything a person has worked for. A kid fresh out of college whom the government will bend over backwords to keep which means they will get the money because you want to keep them. It is happening in our office now. We don't have a say they make your standards harder hoping you can't meet them. So out the door the person that has worked hard, who has the knowledge for someone the supervisor wants to keep perhaps it is a cousin, neice it happens all the time. What safeguard have you put in place for a situation like this. Since this process has started their is no place for unions because you want to get rid of them. God help you if the person above your supervisor has the same ideas as your supervisor. What can an employee do? This method will cut out funds we need when we get WIG every year the price of living goes up? If the supervisor is limited in the amount of promotions or cash award he gets what do you think he will do. Give them to his favorite people. This is nothing new, with your system it will make it legal. Health care and life insurance goes up each year you want us to work for the same pay we'll why don't you tell the health insurance people that you have put us on a fixed income because that is what you are doing!!
