Subpart I-Labor Relations If it ain't broke don't try to fix it. There are so many other problems where your time and attention would be much more effectively used instead of adversely affecting the most effective tool management and employees have to deal with health, safety and workplace issues. Collective bargaining creates an efficient and effective means to run an organization, because both sides have come to an agreeement on important workplace issues and both sides know what is expected of them on a day to day basis. Employees crave stability and morale improves when workers feel that they will be treated fairly. Employers benefit because They know what the employees expect from them and can allocate resources accordingly. For almost 30 years federal employees have had collective bargaining and there has been no indication that this process has hampered the effectiveness of government or homeland security. In fact there has only been one time when all federal emplyees have been off the job, and that was when the Congress and President shut down the government over budget issues over a decade ago. This whole issue needs to be revisited and IMPROVEMENTS made instead of draconian measures to wipe away worker's rights.
