I am a Supervisor with 2 levels of supervision below me. I am definitely concerned with tying pay to performance appraisals. I don’t care how impartial a Supervisor is, there are going to be allegations of favoritism. And I have a concern for the average employee, who is not the stellar performer, but who always comes to work, does his/her job competently and well, but cannot outshine those stellar performers, who can and do cause a lot of personnel issues.
