Ah, change for the sake of change! I suppose the glaring overall feel I get from this after reading through the document is: More power to the supervisor, and thats about it. Unfortuneately some of the supervisors we have are inept and too lazy to even use the system that is available to them currently. How can this be? Because they currently are not held accountable for their poor supervisory skills, are not rated on supervisory skills, and do not receive adequate training on supervision. The NSPS does not address this issue, supervisors must be of honorable character and they need training and refresher training on supervision. The NSPS deals with the employees, but employees are not the problem. The funniest part of all this propaganda we are getting on the NSPS is that we the people really have an opportunity to change the big green machine by providing comment. I have worked in administration long enough to recognize a CYA maneuver when I see one. Letters to my elected reps. are the only avenue that may prevent this action from being rammed down our throat. I am a veteran, a government employee, a patriot, and I am not getting a warm fuzzy feeling in regards to NSPS. So why is that?
