With implementation scheduled for July 05 (Spiral one org) it appears that my potential pay increase (that I normally get in January) will be delayed until July of 2006. Due to my seniority (am eligable for retirement) I was considering retiring in Dec of 2006. In effect it will delay any cost of living or geographical increase by six months. As such this implementaion date will have an extreme effect upon the calculation of my "high 3 years" if I stick with the Dec 2006 target. This would force me to spend at least six months to an additional year on board to reach the retirement income goal I will need. In addition there is a ripple effect within an organization concerning advancement potential for the young folks we have spent so much time and effort in training (high potential for attrition due to delayed advancement) This will adversely effect many of us who are in our retirement windows of opportunity. Why not keep the system on the same schedule as our present system and avoid this impact.
