Reference Section 9901.361, Premium Pay, of the proposed regulations, please consider the following comments. I supervise employees that work shifts that require a portion of the work force to be present 365 days per year, 24 hours each day. Many of our workers currently volunteer for midnight or swing shift duties based on the incentives provided by the current night differential, Sunday premium, and Holiday pays provided in the current public law. I urge you to retain these financial incentives so that we will be able to retain highly qualified employees to work these normally undesirable work hours (night, Sunday, and Holidays). It is also important to retain Overtime Pay and Comp Time so employees are fairly compensated for work performed.
