I think the new pay system for DOD may be a good thing. But the one area that will cause the most problems is for an employee to have to move and except a new job or get fired as I hear it. A lot of employees are married and have kids. Both of them work. If a DOD empolyee is forced to move that may mean the spouse may have to give up a good non goverment job and move also. This will cause lots of problems in a family. Civilians are not in Armed Forces and did not take a job thinking they will have to move to new jobs and locations like people in the Army do. Civilians should not be forced to move or lose their jobs. Transfers should be voluntery.
