Pay banding is worded and cloaked to disguise as performance motivated, fair, and partial. It is not. The current system we operate under is not personal. Great ideas and better ways to do things come from individuals who are logical-mathematical and intrapersonal. But that same person may not be a verbal-oral skilled individual and be able to talk a good game. I have seen managers even under the current system reward the guy who talks a good game and steals the idea maker's work for their own. With the system you propose which is even more based on personalities rather than product, civil service will end up with a bunch of schmoozer I totally disagree with what they are trying to do to our labor union. Our union should be taken seriously. They are negotiating for all of us for fair and partial labor practices. The government is by the people not the few elitists in this country. The government is no different then any other corporation in this country that has a union. What grounds does our government have to blow off our union like it is nothing? That means they do not any civil servant seriously either. They are implying that we are not entitled to disagree or want better for our selves. It is as if the government is saying the union is wasting their time. What high handedness
