I can only comment on my 6 years here as a pharmacist at Fort Stewart after 29 years of working in civilian hospitals. To be blunt I've never encounted such a wasteful, poorly managed hospital like an Army one. Some of the things they do defy logic and common sense but do you believe any young captain would listen and heed good advice from a civilian. NEVER! In fact the Army would rather screw it up good and then never admit it. We have 1/2 million $ worth of computer equipment that they bought that slows us down and decreases productivity because they won't admit they bought something we didn't want. Good luck you are going to need it.
