Fight Department of Defense Work Rules! One thing that really caught my eye was this paragraph. NSPS weakens our Union and destroys the rights we've gained through Union contracts, such as flex days, advance notice of work schedules and overtime rotations. When wrongful discipline is administered, there will be virtually no chance of overturning the punishment. I have great concerns about changes to work rules in the Department of Defense (DoD). Employees who have given their lives to defend this country should be given the respect and dignity they deserve and not allowed to be treated in whatever manner suits the National Security Personnel System (NSPS). All employees can't vote themselves pay raises like Congress can any year they feel a need or see fit. Don't take away employees rights to have a say in their jobs, hours worked and overtime pay. They are human beings and deserve better. This country is fighting a war abroad and government workers feel they are at war on their jobs and suffer abuse daily. I urge you to force the DoD to rethink this proposal. There has to be some fairness somewhere in the world. The United States of America needs to stand for what we present to the world.
