I think that it's a shame that we will have to rely on our supervision's "opinion" of whether or not we "deserve" pay raises or step promotions. The system, for what it was worth, was working fine. Making our supervisors the govenors of our pay is way too subjective. Sure, there may be times when people don't necessarily deserve the raises they receive. But "pay cuts" and "demotions" have already been devised for these circumstances. Supervisors are people, and people can be vendictive,immoral, and cruel. Giving ourselves the power to "play God" is a huge mistake and I'm against it 100%. No to the NSPS proposal.
