My concerns with NSPS: - It will discourage teamwork. - It will jeopardize trust between employees. People will spend time and resources to ensure they “look good” to their supervisors at the expense of the Air Force mission. - It will cause a sharper divide between supervisors and non-supervisors. - Both senior employees and managers will be burdened by the requirement for frequent feedback sessions. Frequent feedback should be for new employees, but not be required for people who understand their jobs and how they contribute to the mission. - Employees will lose the salary increases they have been awarded because of superior performance. - Civilian grade structure will no longer mirror the military grade structure. Civilians will, as one military member stated, “just be civilians.” - Supervisors will have too much power over individual employees. -- Sexual harassment still exists in the Air Force, even though sexual innuendos sometimes may appear subtle to others. Note: The Equal Employment Opportunity programs are designed to protect only against overt sexual threats.
