I am reading and listening to all the information that is being provided regarding NSPS. I hear and read alot of comments about how fairly performance management will be accomplished and how will we be assured that favoritism and cronyism will be kept out of the process. In fact, I just listened to the Deputy PEO who stated that no one can legislate a manager to be totally fair and honest while evaluating his/her personnel and that the worker should remember that these managers and supervisors will also be graded by their actions under NSPS. But, this is DOD and a military organization. We all work for military supervisors and managers at some level. They will not be evaluated under NSPS for their fairness and managerial skills. What happens to that piece for the employee?
