I oppose the implementation of NSPS and I urge you to act to instruct the Secretary of Defense to halt any further development of NSPS unless and until the Pentagon is willing to substantively address the issues raised by AFGE and various other representative unions. I have come to this conclusion based on the proposals submitted on this topic. The new system resembles an employee at will type contract between agency and workers. This type of system does not benefit DoD workers where national security is at stake. The only people who may benefit is management and/or supervisors who have the authority to literally abuse, harrass and make hostile working conditions a matter of course, with no protection to the worker. A better alternative is to place new hires on a strict one to two year probationary period and place them in temporary status until the agency confirms they will be hired permanent. Change the rules for new hiring practices only. Do not tamper with a system which is the best in the nation! REJECT THIS NEW PROPOSED SYSTEM NOW!
