Simply put, this is bad idea. NSPS will hurt morale, create hate and discontent and increase job dissatisfaction. The GS schedule is not perfect but what is. NSPS will lead to supervisor having their favorites(they will get the bigger raises). There will be major brown-nosing and the harder working and more deserving of raises will not get them. The GS schedule keeps the brown nosers in check. Everything that makes working the federal government great is being dismantled by this legislation. Why is this being shoved down our throats? What is the rush to get this through before it is even complete? The only aim for NSPS is to lower wages in the long run and to wreck the unions. I don't belong to a union but that will change within the next month. There are way too many unknowns at this point such as events that would warrant being fired, how much will go into the pay pool for raises, etc. . These unknowns should at least be addressed before we are forced to be under this system. What is the big secret with the unknowns? Why haven't we as the people who will be under this system been honestly dealt with? Leave things the way they are instead of scrapping the whole system.
