I have worked for more than 20 years under the thumb of a supervisor who frequently states that all his employees get their performance awards every two weeks. This system will give this supervisor, and all similarly ethically challanged supervisors, the added ability to not just fail to recognize and reward superior performance but to actually reduce the pay of the employees who are not adept at sucking up to the boss.
