I think it is excellent that people will get rewarded based on job performance, but I am concerned that my raise will be decided by one person. I have been in the Federal System for 12.5 years now, and there are alot of supervisors that will take this as an advantage for them and use this as leverage on your behalf. It basically creates a situation where people will be afraid to challenge supervisors when their is wrong doing involved because they are afraid of retaliation. You may say that their are checks and balances for this, but believe me not everywhere. Their are places where their is corruption virtually to the top. There are way to many supervisors that have got to where they are by the good old boy way, and without the proper training. There are tons of people out their that have way more job knowledge, people skills and supervisory training than their boss. This is a real good way for corruption to run wild. Can you please tell me what is in place to avoid corruption? Thanks
