I think this new personnel system has too many loop holes and can be widely missused. I do not like the fact that someone else can determine how much I am worth! I have had some very self-centered employers in the 30+ years I have worked in the federal government. I know that giving them the power over me in such a way, would have forced me out of the federal service a long time ago. It is bad enough to have orgainizations told how many people can get the higher points on their evaluations, but it is entirely another thing to base those evaluations with the employees pay! I have always received top appraisals for my work, but I still worry that giving our managers the right to decide my "value" will only open up problems and even violence in the workplace. I helped creat the first Air Force Workplace Violence Prevention program and have witnessed quite a few hostile work environments. Some of the changes in this new regulation could have lasting effects thoughout the government. I urge you to reconsider changing our present system.
