Section 9901.342 Under (a) (2) it says that an appropriate rating official can determine that an employee's current performance is inconsistent with that rating, that rating official may prepare a more current rating of record. The way I read this, if management is short of money that year, an easy fix is to rate everyone low at "performance payout" time and that solves all budget woes. No recourse for me because the language says earlier that I cannot appeal an appraisal. Nice to know I can provide management with a way to manage their budget!!
