I am horrified that this administration is prepared to allow this travesty to come to pass. Our forefathers fought long and hard to establish unions and the right to be represented by a union. Now singlehandedly this Mr. Rumsfeldt is going to obliterate the union from the government employee's life. Why? I don't see how this can be a detriment to the National Security. Giving supervisors the authority, without redress, to change or alter an employees work schedule, location or duties without any advance notice is reminiscent of the dark ages. Are we in a feudal system all of a sudden? How is one supposed to plan and care for one's family if you don't know when you may be required to ship out to a hostile environment to work, or when you may have to work overtime with no advance notice for long periods of time. While I would agree that our current personnel system needs some work I am totally opposed to the tenets of the new NSPS system and request that the people be heard before this is implemented.
