I totally disagree with the NSPS. This is the wrong time in our country’s history to be doing such radical changes when our recourses could be better spent equipping our troops on the front lines. I have worked civil service in DOD for over 20 years and I did not accept my position under the NSPS terms. I believe that employees like me should remain under the current system and DOD can put new hires under the NSPS. If I was a recent hire I would quit and move on to a fair job without this political climate and the proposed NSPS buddy system. The current DOD employees have not been a treat to our nation’s security. Our abilities to collective bargaining have not been a threat to our nation’s security. Our abilities to have an impartial third party oversight for adverse actions, arbitrations and Unfair Labor Practices have not been a threat to our nation’s security. Leave the current employees alone and if this NSPS has to be implemented, hire the new employees under the new system. Otherwise withdraw the NSPS as it is unfair and an open door to many federal lawsuits, which will be the only way for a DOD employee to get fair due process.
