Being new to the supervisory field, I probably do not have as many concerns as those who have been supervisors for some time. However, I do have 2 concerns. First, there appears to be some potential for abuse in situations where the supervisor simply does not get along with one of his/her employees. As long as the system is set up to rate facts and not opinions, this should not be a big issue. The other concern I have is not allowing lesser performers to have the market adjustment to their pay. No matter what you call it, it still appears to be a locality pay adjustment.
