This concerns RIF procedures. Page 7564 Civilian employees who have served in present and future designated conflict zones such as IRAQ and Afganistan should be given special status in the RIF procedure equal to the military. Civilians who volunteer for these duties risk their lives from indiscriminate bombings, mortars etc. Currently ex-military members receive blanket priority even if their service only included stateside administrative jobs.
