Staffing and Employment-Subpart E How will the change in probationary periods impact the issuance of the CAC ID Card? Will career employees have an expiration date or will the CAC Card read "indefinite" as an expiration date? Will each job change require an employee to start a new probationary period? Will there be a limit or ceiling on the total number of permanent employees that can exist in the Federal Civil Service due to managers having greater flexibilities within their hiring procedures? Will there be a service requirement for career employees? Will there be time-limited promotions within a payband or to a higher payband?
