There are many things that concern me about NSPS. As far as my personal situation, the thing that pops out to me is the RIF situation. I have 25 years civil service, and have been a loyal DOD USAF employee that entire time. I moved from McClellan AFB to Peterson AFB when McClellan AFB closed in order to continue in Civil Service to obtain a retirement. The thing that concerns me about the RIF situation is the fact that your length of service. I have been a loyal employee for 25 years, and uprooted my life and family to continue with civil service. Do I understand that a person with Veterans preference, perhaps just starting in civil service, and receiving a military pension, would have preference over someone like myself?
