Reguarding the pay for performance by your supervisor, my comment being, your supervisor has within her/his control to increase or decrease your pay. In the ideal world, this sounds great. In the real world, however, if you have a supervisor that does not like you based on differences in personalities, point of view, ect., that supervisor can be unprofessional and take this opportunity to take away any raise or decrease your salary (these supervisors DO exist more often than not). This has been my experience working for civil service for almost 15 years, more prominent in the Army than the Air force. As I have found through my experience - knowledge is power, and the army personnel do not want to give power to anyone, but whom is chosen (Good ol' boy system). You have alot of different personalities working together and they do not always mesh well. The southeast has been a very difficult place to work and I have worked all over the world. So please take this into consideration. Thank you.
