I am a firm believer in the adage, "If it's not broke, don't fix it." I have worked for the government for 27 years and have served in the U.S. Navy as well as the U.S. Army. I totally disagree with the proposed NSPS legislation. I have seen several changes over the years where our government has spent billions of our tax payers dollars, that have not always been in our best interests, and in itself, borders on waste, fraud and abuse. I can only equate this to insufficient research and inadequate substantiation of the ramifications of such actions. If we are suppose to have a government " Of the people, by the people and for the people," then we need to revisit this legislation and re-evaluate the impact this is going to have on civilian employees. I feel this new system is fraught with many imperfections and improprieties that would condone favoritism and preferential treatment, while good honest hard-working people go unrewarded for their efforts. This needs to work for all and not just those in a managerial/ supervisory position that would champion their personal favorites. Thank you for your time and consideration.
