I have worked for DOD for over 30 years, and I am dismayed with the proposals of the National Security Personnel System. I hate to think that after all the faithful service I have given, that there would a great possiblity that one supervisior could actually affect my retirement. This new pay system will certainly increase office conflict between co-workers, and also put workers in a situation where they cannot appeal a bad work situation, or an unfair appraisal to an impartial grievance board. I can foresee awards, bonuses, and pay increases going by the wayside unless you are a "favored" employee. And I certainly can't imagine how, in America, anyone (civilian) could be assigned anywhere in the world without the employee volunteering to work in that particular area (country) without harassment. Please respect our rights, and rethink this proposal for all Defense Department workers!
