Setting & Communicating Performance Expectations: This area is currently an on-going problem for employees. Supervisors often fail to meet the time requirements for advising employees of performance expecations at the beginning of the rating period. Employees are asked to back date the initial, midpoint & final review of performance expectations at the end of the rating period. It frightens me to know that a poorly trained supervisor, who cannot meet his own performance requirements, will be determining my retention standing as well as my standard of living!
