PAY FOR PERFORMANCE IS LONG OVERDUE. THE PRESENTATION OF PERFORMANCE IN THIS MANNER FOR THE NEW GOVERNMENT SYSTEM (NSPS) STRIPS THE EMPLOYEE OF THE DIGNITY ONCE HELD BY RECOGNIZING TIME IN SERVICE. ALL MILITARY SCOPES ALWAYS CONSISTED OF TIME IN GRADE AS RECOGNIZING SERVICE. PERFORMANCE OUT WEIGHS YEARS OF SERVICE ACCORDING TO THE NEW EMPLOYEE SYSTEM. THE EMPLOYEE DOES NOT HAVE THE YEARS OF SERVICE WEIGHT THAT THE SOLDIERS WE SERVICE HAVE UNDER THIS SYSTEM. WE SHOULD RECOGNIZE THE JUNIOR CONGRESSMAN WITH THE SAME WEIGHT AS THE SENIOR CONGRESSMAN OR THE NEW SENATOR'S WEIGHT OPPOSED TO THE SENIOR SENATOR. OUR GOVERNMENT ISN'T FUNCTIONING THIS WAY. WHY EXPECT OUR WORKFORCE OF CIVIL SERVANTS TO OPERATE IN THIS NEW FASHION? THERE MUST BE A WAY TO RECOGNIZE BOTH PERFORMANCE AND SERVICE WITH EQUAL WEIGHT.
