The NSPS is an unfair application of the provisions of the Homeland Security Act, in which hides a threat of INSECURITY FOR WORKERS. Under trhe NSPS plan workers will lose their right to arbitration and to hearings with an impartial hearing officer. All advancement is based on supposed merit as judged by management--which will lead to cronyism. A worker not perfectly matched to the boss will find him/herself at a loss of pay (as inflation eats away the un-advanced salary), status, and job security. Good workers who happen to disagree with their boss will exit their positions, leaving only bosses and buddies. Not the best for job productivity. The NSPS has used provisions from the Homeland Security Act, meant to identify threats to our nation, and has instead identified teachers, mechanics, security, maintenance workers and others, as threats, and would deny them just employment practices and historically established workers rights. The NSPS has NOTHING TO DO WITH HOMELAND SECURITY, and EVERYTHING TO DO WITH UNION BUSTING.
