Classification Item: "Lengthy, detailed job descriptions no longer needed." Problem with supervisors assigning employees extra work that is not authorized. Taking out trash, helping with personal tasks (i.e. help type a resume), etc. Position descriptions are needed so there is no abuse of authority. COLA concern: If employees no longer received WIG and cost of living increases, they need COLA increases to survive in high cost areas. Bonuses: Concern that small offices will have to compete with large offices when it comes to appraisal bonuses. - If a supervisor is not strong and does not present their case for an employee to get a bonus, that outstanding employee will be punished for years, if the supervisor is not strong and cannot communicate why their employees should receive bonuses/raises.
