I consider myself to be a good person and a hard working employee. I have served my country for 4 years Active Duty USMC and 6 years civil service as a Law Enforcement Officer. Starting as a GSO4 Police Officer and making rank to GS08 Police Lieutenant. I have seen both ends of the spectrum union employee to supervisor. I can tell you the NSPS system will only support the Good Old Boy system that much more. What DOD fails to realize is we have corrupt upper level mangers already in place awaiting the arrival of more power, which can be used to terminate employees. These employees stand for what is right and have challenged management in the past; management will now get rid of opposition by utilizing this NSPS system. Even with the current system in place management already circumvents the system and hires friends, family etc. Even though the system we operate under now has its flaws the new system is going to create endless HRO paper work, law suits, low morale, unethical hiring practices, unethical work place environments and managers who use the system for their PERSONAL AGENDA. (Note I hunt, fish, and watch NASCAR with the best of them the NSPS system is taking DOD the wrong way…………………………………
