NSPS ? National Sycophant Promotion System? Seems more appropriate, in as much as the only persons who will benefit from this new system are the sycophants and toadys who have their noses firmly implanted in the nether regions of their superiors. A system which is based on performance is great in theory, however, we all know that "performance " means how well one jumps through the hoops put in place by their supervisors. There will be little or no room for independant thought or initiative, since individuals who possess these qualities usually irritate their less intellectually endowed "bosses". Shmoozing will become a more important attribute than seniority and experience. In an ideal world, managers and supervisors will be promoted to their positions based on competence and intelligence, properly trained in dealing with the personnel under their purview, and will administer this program in a fair, impartial and objective manner without bias or favoritism. Until these things come to pass (don't hold your breath) and these managers are in place, there should be no implementation of this "NSPS" program.~Thank you !
