My main concern is with pay banding is that employees can be treated unfairly by an unbiased supervisor. This could be used as a tool of retaliation against an employee who is unlike by their supervisor. There already exists some bias in the workplace, now supervisors will be given an additional way to punish an employee that they may have a dislike for and reward a "favorite" employee.
