I believe the NSPS will allow supervisors to show favortism toward employees. It will not make a difference how hard you work or how productive you are. If your supervisor dislikes you for whatever reason, he/she can decide not to give an employee a raise or bonus. I did not take this job thinking that there was a possibility that I would be deployed to a hostile environment such as Irag. I have already served this country in a military capacity. Now that I am working as a civilian I can feel as though I am still serving my country; however, I have completed my obligation as a soldier a long time ago. I am not as young as I used to be. If I am forced to go to a hostile environment, then I may not have a choice but to find employment elsewhere outside the government. I am a hard worker and take my job seriously. But from what I can see, the government does not seem to care about the civilian workforce. The government continues to take away more and more from the civilian workforce instead of showing their appreciation for what we do. We are taxpayers also and we deserve better than the NSPS.
