The pay banding is unfair - it gives your supervisor all the control and the "good old boys" sysytem is back! There is not any recourse to appeal. In a RIF - the veteran should not be given preference over length of sevice, all your knowledgeable people will be out the door. This just goes to show that the government does not care about the employees. Why are we taking steps backwards instead of forward thinking? Knowledge is the best that civil service has. Please do not let this happen.
