Reference "Workforce Shaping - Subpart F". We have been told by the union, i.e. AFGE President Don Hale, that NSPS will give the DoD the right to deploy employees to different work locations within and outside of the United States within 72 hours. This management right would be absolute and could result in termination of employment if the employee refuses to change work locations. Would the NSPS grant the government the right to send individual workers to Iraq and Afghanistan? This would result in the creation of indentured servitude for the government worker. There has always been a difference in the DoD between the civilian and military. With the NSPS I can see that difference disappearing with regard to deployment and work location. This is a very serious issue for the civilian who chose to build a career with the government. Thank you.
