To whom it may concern, It is with great concern that I write this complaint. I don’t know how anyone can expect this legislation to be equal and fair for the working class people. It gives ALL the rights to the employer and strips the employee of theirs. Anytime that a person can hire, fire, promote, and reward according to their own standards, there is plenty of room for nepotism and favoritism, no matter how well of intentions are made. I personally hope that everyone involved will reconsider this whole system. As a federal employee, I already have seen the brashness of managers, and NSPS hasn’t even been implemented as of yet. I would hate to see what they would be like when it is implemented in full force. Yes, employees have appeal rights, but the employer has the right not to consult, yes employees have the right to join unions, but the employer has the right to determine what to bargain over. So, where’s the fairness that the brainchild was thinking of when this was dreamt up? If this passes through as is, the working class people may not stand for it, and employers may have more problems than they can handle. I strongly advise whoever can change this to meet the fairness on local levels and treat the blue-collar worker as a person, not a number. You were voted in and you can be voted out.
