Comments:
In the past 30 years that I have been working for the Federal Government, I have been through numerous changes. The NSPS system is one of the broadest changes of the civilian pays system I have seen. Although they ( the NSPS board) seem to be taking it in steps ( spirals), I have news for all of you ,this system is all ready being implemented, they have been implementing parts of this for the past few years,,, if you don’t believe it, take a look at the amount of personnel ( in management) positions that are military or ex-military. The changes in their training, and changing faces of the upper management workforce. Although I am sure that the NSPS board is not concerned with the older workforce, that has been faithfully supporting our troops for years, I would hope that they would give us an option to accept an early-out, or give us a granddaddy exception to this plan. If the NSPS board where really serious about finding out what people think, they would set up a chat room, and not just a “ give us your comment , so we can ignore it” process.
